The Amazing Ms. Crystal Greene
There are a few amazing people on earth that we are lucky enough to meet and share in the awesomeness of their being. We at Gertz Ressler are grateful to have Ms. Crystal Greene be part of our lives. Ms. Greene was Gertz' College Seminar Freshman teacher who students and faculty thought of as family. Ms. Greene impacted the lives of many students, and she sparked a legacy of anti-bullying by emphasizing the importance of being upstanders. Her work and passion against bullying made Gertz and its students a safer and more welcoming community of learners. Her legacy lives on at Gertz and the Gertz family has done many things to commemorate Ms. Greene. We have celebrated her Birthday, named a garden after her, and held a memorial on the first anniversary of her passing. Something incredible about Ms. Greene is the fact the even though tragically she was living with Breast cancer, she managed to make everyone else happy until her last second on earth. Ms. Greene will always have a special place in the hearts of everyone. Ms. Greene will always be at Gertz …forever. We love you Ms. Greene! <3
Head Lice Strikes
Early in the year, it was reported that there were some cases of head lice. These are small parasitic creatures that live on the scalp and causes extreme itchiness in individuals. In many cases, people don't know they have head lice, because lice are tiny and hard to see.
To prevent lice try to avoid using things that people put all over their head. Don't use items like combs, headbands, hats, pillows that do not belong to you. Although it is common to ask for one of these products from a “friend”, to keep looking “fresh”, it is not always the best option. A way to remove lice is to check your head regularly. Use a combination of anti-lice shampoo and a comb to remove it from your head. With these tips to prevent and remove lice we can stop spreading lice. Together, we can strike against lice before it strikes us!
